Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Lightning Tennis mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Lightning Tennis is a mobile application that helps tennis players:

• Find and connect with other tennis players in their area
• Create and join tennis matches ("Lightning Matches")
• Track their tennis rating (LTR - Lightning Tennis Rating)
• Join and manage tennis clubs
• Communicate with other players through in-app messaging

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent to use the App.

4. User Conduct

You agree to use Lightning Tennis in a manner consistent with building a positive tennis community. You agree NOT to:

• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
• Collect user information without consent
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings or avoid bans
• No-show to matches you've committed to without proper notice

5. Lightning Tennis Rating (LTR)

The LTR system is designed to provide fair matchmaking:

• Your LTR is calculated based on match results and opponent ratings
• You agree to report match scores accurately and honestly
• Intentional manipulation of ratings is prohibited
• We reserve the right to adjust ratings if manipulation is detected

6. Matches and Safety

When arranging matches through Lightning Tennis:

• You are responsible for your own safety when meeting other players
• We recommend meeting in public tennis facilities
• Lightning Tennis does not guarantee the identity or conduct of users
• Report any concerning behavior immediately through the App

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by Lightning Tennis and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our content without express written permission.

8. User Content

By posting content to the App (including profile information, match comments, and messages), you grant Lightning Tennis a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with the App.

You represent that you own or have the right to share any content you post.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Results obtained from using the App will be accurate
• Any defects will be corrected

Lightning Tennis is not responsible for any injuries that may occur during tennis activities arranged through the App.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIGHTNING TENNIS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App will immediately cease
• You may request deletion of your account data
• Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
